Our continuing mission...
Childbirth services and education have come a long way since 1968, but at FCEA we continue to see areas for improvement. In the coming decade we hope to improve our delivery of service to our clients and community. We hope to acquire our own teaching space so that classes will be more comfortable for our clients. Based on requests and feedback received we would like to expand our class offerings to reach further into early pregnancy, and beyond the early post partum period. These are only a few of the short and long term goals we have at FCEA.
FCEA has always been staffed entirely by volunteers, most of whom came to the organization after benefiting from our classes and being touched by our caring instructors. All of our instructors undergo a lengthy and exhaustive training process that can take up to 2 years to complete. As a result, for most of the 37 year lifetime of FCEA we have struggled to meet the energy and time needs of our organization.
We are looking for volunteers who possess the desire to promote our mission and purpose, can commit to honor and respect our values, and possess a willingness to work within our organizational structure.
